Terms of Service
Last updated: September 14, 2026.
These Terms of Service govern use of Parent Advocate, a Futurion LLC service. By creating an account, signing in, uploading information, using Guidance or Assistance, approving generated content, or sending feedback, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Purpose
Parent Advocate is a parent-support technology service for adults who are preparing for special-education questions, documents, school communication, meetings, IEP discussions, and related planning.
Parent Advocate provides informational guidance, draft documents, summaries, checklists, proposed questions, and parent-reviewed communications. It does not replace the parent, the IEP team, school professionals, attorneys, medical providers, evaluators, or other qualified professionals.
2. Not Legal, Medical, Educational, or Professional Advice
Parent Advocate does not provide legal advice, medical advice, clinical advice, psychological advice, or official educational decisions. Outputs are AI-assisted drafts and informational materials for parent review. You are responsible for deciding what to use, edit, approve, send, or discuss with the school or other professionals.
Parent Advocate does not guarantee a school response, a school decision, a special-education eligibility decision, a service, an accommodation, an IEP change, a meeting date, a timeline, or any educational outcome.
3. Adult / Parent Use Only
Parent Advocate is intended for use by parents, guardians, adult caregivers, or other authorized adults. Children should not create accounts or submit information to the service. If you are under 18, do not use Parent Advocate without a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your Responsibilities
- Use Parent Advocate only if you are authorized to provide and use the information you enter or upload.
- You are responsible for ensuring you are authorized to submit any personally identifiable information (PII), student records, IEP information, school records, disability-related information, or other sensitive information you provide.
- Use school-provided or publicly available work contact information for school-related communication only.
- Review all AI-assisted outputs carefully before relying on them.
- Correct names, dates, facts, services, goals, accommodations, and other details before using any output.
- Do not submit information about a student unless you are authorized to do so.
- Do not use Parent Advocate to harass, threaten, mislead, impersonate others, violate law, or misuse school or student information.
- Do not upload malicious files or attempt to access another user's account, Data Set, documents, prompts, or outputs.
5. User Content and Uploaded Documents
You may enter prompts, profile information, school contact information, and other details. You may also upload documents for supported Assistance workflows. You retain responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the information you provide.
Uploaded documents may include sensitive student or educational information. Upload only documents you are authorized to use. Parent Advocate uses uploaded documents to support your requested workflows. Uploaded documents are not used to create content for other users.
6. Guidance and Assistance Outputs
AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, overbroad, or unsuitable for your situation. You must review and edit outputs before using them. If the service prepares an email or other communication, you must approve it before supported sending occurs.
7. Email and Communications
If you approve a supported Send Mail or meeting-related communication, the service may send the approved content to the recipient you provide or confirm. The recipient, school, or other third party may save, forward, reply to, or otherwise use that communication outside Futurion's control.
For outbound Parent Advocate messages, Futurion may use a verified sender such as noreply@futurionllc.com and may set the reply-to address to the parent/user email so recipients can respond directly to the parent/user.
8. Feedback and Support
Futurion may provide feedback, survey, or support/contact methods. Feedback and surveys may be used to evaluate and improve the product. Support/contact methods, when available, are for account, billing, access, or technical support only.
Do not send student records, IEP documents, medical information, disability information, school records, or case-specific student details through feedback, survey, support email, or contact methods. If sensitive student information is sent anyway, Futurion deletes it and does not use it for support or product review.
9. Privacy and Data Handling
Use of Parent Advocate is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes how Parent Advocate handles PII, student information, account information, Data Set/profile information, uploaded documents, approved email delivery information, feedback, support/contact information, retention, security, and deletion.
Futurion does not sell personal or student information and does not use student information for targeted advertising. Uploaded documents are temporary and are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. Use a secure password and do not share your account. Notify Futurion if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. Billing and Trial Access
Parent Advocate may offer free pilots, trial access, paid prompt plans, or other access levels. Free pilot terms may end, change, or be discontinued. Paid production use may require payment through a third-party payment processor. Futurion may reset, expire, or close trial prompt balances at the end of a pilot or during a transition to production.
12. Data Set and Uploaded Document Deletion
Parent Advocate supports deletion of Data Set/profile information and uploaded documents through the application where those controls are available. Account, payment, email, and third-party records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Service Availability and Changes
Futurion may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue the service, including during maintenance, trial transition, production rollout, security review, or cost-control events. Futurion may also update features, prompts, models, vendors, policies, and workflows.
14. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Parent Advocate, including by attempting unauthorized access, reverse engineering, scraping, excessive automated use, uploading harmful files, interfering with service operation, or using the service for unlawful or harmful purposes.
15. Third-Party Services
Parent Advocate uses third-party infrastructure and services, including cloud hosting, authentication, AI/LLM processing, email delivery, and payment processing where applicable. Third-party services may process information as needed to provide the service.
16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Parent Advocate is provided "as is" and "as available." Futurion disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Futurion is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for school decisions, missed deadlines, communication outcomes, or reliance on unreviewed AI-assisted outputs.
17. Changes to These Terms
Futurion may update these Terms. Continued use after updated Terms are posted or accepted means you agree to the updated Terms.
18. Contact
Support contact methods, when available, are for account, billing, access, or technical support only. Futurion does not provide individual consultation, legal advice, educational advocacy services, or case-specific student support through support email, surveys, or website feedback.
